La Muse

fashion film

Shot on location in Paris, our latest fashion film for jewellery brand NAJO channels the timeless allure of the French New Wave. To ground the film in authenticity, we sourced the same model of 35MM Angénieux zoom lens that Jean-Luc Godard used to shoot Breathless. With an emphasis on handheld cinematography, natural lighting, and rhythmic jump cuts, the film creates a vibrant, intimate portrait of a modern muse navigating the City of Light. Set across the evocative streets, cafés, and squares of the Le Marais, the story follows two characters in a playful game of hide and seek. The narrative is punctuated by close-ups of jewellery-adorned fingers snapping, a dynamic visual motif that cuts between scenes and pays homage to the iconic dance sequence in Godard’s Bande à Part.

Our expertise lies in bringing a brand's collection to life through narrative-led commercial filmmaking, where storytelling meets distinctive visual style. For this project, we were involved from storyboard to final delivery, immersing ourselves in Godard’s films to capture the essence of his language - studying gestures, framing, and rhythms that could be reimagined to best showcase NAJO jewellery. Every creative choice, from lens selection to editing cadence, was made to marry the brand’s identity with the energy of the French New Wave, resulting in a film that feels both timeless and unmistakably NAJO.
